WHATSAPP FOR PC - CHAT WHILE YOU WORK

By Peter Boon

In today's world, technology has overpowered us all in many ways. The technology used in mobile phones is becoming advanced day by day and new methods of communicating with our family and friends, are being invented by the minute. Amongst the various applications which are now available in smart phones, Whatsapp, which is a free messaging application happens to be one of the most popular ones in recent times with people across the globe making use of this application to connect to their loved ones both near and far.

One can communicate with people for free and also exchange images, video clips and audio clips rapidly with one or more than one person at a given point of time. The way whatsapp works is that all the people on an individual mobiles contact list automatically get added on his whatsapp list automatically so he does not have to add them separately.

A feature that was previously unique to whatsapp but was later copied by rival applications is that of giving the user the freedom to create a group where more than 2 and less than 50 individuals can chat with each other, all at the same time and also share all types of media clips with each other. If one has 2 to 3 such groups on his whatsapp he is sure to be busy chatting with all his friends the entire day.

Some special features of this free messaging application are that one can set up a display picture of his own or anyone else which can be changed anytime and also put up a status of his own stating his current state of mind, location or anything for that matter. If one does not want to talk to a person or allow him to see his display picture or status then he can block that same individual from doing so.

The users of whatsapp came up with a very innovative feature which allows an individual to see what time his friend or family member who is on his contact list was last online on whatsapp. This way the person comes to know if the person he is chatting with or waiting a reply from is online or not. However, some smart phones allow the users to switch off their last seen feature so that others will not know when he or she was last online.

Even though the direct version of Whatsapp for PC's is not available one can use whatsapp using emulator such as Bluestacks to get Whatsapp on their computers and laptops. People who do not own a smart phone can also use this ever-popular application from their desktop or laptop and connect to friends and family members.

The PC version for whatsapp is very simple to download and all one needs to do is follow a few simple steps and start using whatsapp on his desktop within a few minutes. The PC version acts just like the mobile version, in fact making it easier for an individual to work and chat with friends, all at the same time without having to switch devices. Also, the images and video clips which are received via whatsapp can be viewed on a larger screen on the desktop as compared to the mobile phones which are smaller in size.

Well, isn't this what we had all been waiting for? Now mobile whatsapp users can easily use this application on their home and work computers to connect with their friends whenever they wish to while people who had not been using whatsapp till now can now do so on their computers and get in touch with people instantly and that too absolutely free!
