Take Into Account These 3 Points Initially Before Giving Up A Job

By George Dodson

Quitting a job is actually the last resort if one person is already unsatisfied with it. Many people would agree that this would be the best choice if you feel that the job is no longer rewarding.

This will then lead you to the question "Is this the kind of job that I want?". Is this my only option? Do you work from Monday to Friday to then enjoy life on weekends?

Having to think of these things leaves you with feelings of depression and can sometimes even harm your health.

Things should not be this way. There are those which made a decision to quit their job and focused on running their own business or pursued a more meaningful employment or job.

Before you submit that resignation letter, it is but essential that you think over it first.

Initially, you must have a valid reason as to why you have to submit your resignation to your boss. If you've been enduring some stress and pain over your job then submitting a resignation would probably a good choice.

You would also need a good understanding of your current situation. Know the things that make you want to quit your current job. Does your reason involve being uncomfortable to work with others? Would it be because you yearn for more respect than what you are getting? Or is it because you're doing something that you really don't want to do.

Furthermore, having to leave something behind doesn't guarantee you anything. Understand if you're moving towards something that is more rewarding. Leaving a job which no longer help you attain your goals does not necessarily mean that you are heading for the right direction - leaving your job only aids the discomfort, pain or stress which you are feeling. Question yourself if the job you're looking less hours. Would you prefer a job that gives you more responsibility? Or perhaps little or no responsibility? Would you like to work using your creativity? A more logical reason? Be specific with what you want and what you would like to do in your life.

A plan for quitting the job you have should also something that you should prepare. Action is quite important indeed however it is essential that think of this plan. If you think you deserve to someplace else rather than doing your current job then have a detailed plan which you can follow after you've quit. Before actually leaving your current job, it is a must that you already have a laid out plan. Make further research on the business which you are looking to have, job openings for jobs which you love to do, retail spaces for a business you are planning and others.

Having to lay out a plan you can execute after your resignation reinforces your decision. Also, it can provide you with ease of mind as youll be setting up a back-up plan the moment you are out of your current work. Having a fixed plan will lead your actions to your set goals and can even help you find possible better opportunities. You can then sign that resignation letter and hand it over to your company boss after setting up a plan - a plan of which can take you some place better where you are now.
